Cape Cod's Premier Senior Living Community

Thirwood Place and the Cape Cod Community Media Center are excited to announce the launch of a new local television show: Cape Cod Senior Navigator.

Cape CCape Cod Senior Navigator logood Senior Navigator is a themed monthly show aimed at entertaining and educating seniors as they navigate life on Cape Cod. The 30-minute show includes a 15-minute interview and three 5-minute segments.

Media Coverage

The theme of the current episode is “Volunteering on Cape Cod,” featuring:

  • A visit to the MSPCA-Cape Cod and an interview with Director Mary Sarah Fairweather
  • A tour of A Baby Center in Hyannis and an interview with Director Robin Hayward
  • A studio interview with senior volunteers Frank Hynes from The Family Pantry and Eddie Howard from Elder Service’s Meals on Wheels
  • An interview with Barbara Milligan of the Cape and Islands United Way discussing the Cape Cod Volunteers program

Created and presented by Thirwood Place, the show is produced using the training programs, support staff, state-of-the-art facility and equipment offered by the Cape Cod Community Media Center. Paula Hersey, Director of Outreach & Special Projects at CCCMC explains, “The Media Center is thrilled to have a new show on Channel 99 that fills a need in our programming for our senior residents. We enjoyed helping the Thirwood/Davenport production team utilize their studio/field training to create an engaging, informative and professionally produced show.”

Cape Cod Senior Navigator airs on Comcast Channel 99 on Mondays at 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. and Fridays at 1:30 p.m.
