(SOUTH YARMOUTH) – The Christmas season has arrived, and Thirwood Place in South Yarmouth is coming alive with activities to get its residents into a festive mood.

From concerts to movies, the bells will be ringing with the sounds of the season.

And thanks to Van Lucier and his amazing team, Thirwood Place has been decorated with beautiful wreaths, trees and ornaments.

On Saturday, December 7, residents will be entertained by the Girl Scouts holiday singing beginning at 3 p.m. in the auditorium.

The Christmas spirit continues to flow on Sunday, December 8 at 12 p.m. with residents heading to the Cape Symphony Holiday concert in Hyannis. The Symphony’s yearly Christmas show is a performance that should not be missed.

The Thirwood Singers Holiday Concert will entertain on December 12 in the auditorium.

Later in the month, the Chatham Choral Holiday Concert takes place on Monday, December 23 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

And on Christmas Day, stop by for a showing of the classic holiday movie, It’s A Wonderful Life, starring Jimmy Stewart as the lovable George Bailey. Show time is 2 p.m. in the conservatory.

Other musical performances throughout the month will include the Ken Badger Trio, Tom Telesmanick with Bob Higgins and Mike DeAngelis.
