Team building training days are very important at Thirwood Place. Thirwood has so many different departments, from Housekeeping, to Maintenance to Food and Beverage, Nursing, Security and more. Training days are an opportunity to bring every department together.

White text on a dark green background reads The Thirwood Difference, highlighting our commitment to exceptional assisted living, with the Thirwood Place logo above.

During each in-service training the team learns something new to help us better care for the residents of Thirwood. Today we learned how to properly use fire extinguishers with the help of Lieutenant Matt Bearse from the Yarmouth Fire Department. It was great for everyone without experience to learn. That way, every team member is as prepared as possible.

There’s always time for fun too! We finished off training with some games of bingo, and a raffle.

A very special part of this specific training is our Service Awards for 2025. We do this to celebrate employees that have worked for 3, 5, 10, 15, 25, and even 30 years!
